Bridal Shower Invitation

This is the bridal shower invitation my daughter chose. The background is from DCWV "the jewel colored cardstock" that I used my Cuttlebug on; the dress is cut from the Forever Young Cricut cartidge (also Cuttlebugged) and embellished with a sheer metallic ribbon and pearl; the ovals for the "You're Invited" were cut with the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge. I was happy she chose the more simplier card since I had so many to make!

Birthday Card

This is a birthday card I made for a friend who LOVES shoes. It's hard to tell, but the background is black cardstock that I used to emboss with my Cuttlebug. The shoes were cut out using the Forever Young cartridge and glitter paper embellished with a pearl. It was super simple to make and she loved it!

Birthday Photo Album

Our computer engineer at work is having a 50th birthday and she loves tropical things. I found out someone is throwing her a surprise Hawaiian themed party, so I embellished a photo album for her to keep her memories in. The card to accompany this is the tropical drink card below.

Masculine Birthday Card

Masculine birthday cards are very hard for me - I like to make flowers better! So this is what I came up with for my boss' birthday.

Get Well Card

One of my dearest friends and co-worker is having surgery so I made her this card. The flowers, leaves, circles and envelope were cut with the Plantin cartridge and the latice border was made with a Martha Stewart punch. I used glitter glue, glitter pen and a decorative scissor cut for the embellishments.

Happy Birthday Card

I made this card for a co-worker who is turning 50. I used the Wild Card cartridge for the card, then highlighted the pineapple with chalk. I resorted to purchasing a "Happy Birthday" because for the life of me I couldn't get it to cut correctly. I also wanted a little grass shack so ended up purchasing one and replacing the "Open" sign with "AKK" which is the initials of our office. I'm really happy with how his turned out!

Hawaiian Vacation

I've been using the Life's A Beach cartridge which has been perfect for our Hawaiian vacation. This is the last page I finished. It was my first attempt at a flower this large - it looks okay, but next time I think I'll experiment more with a little inking. Both the flower and "Aloha" were sprayed with Glimmermist to give it that shimmer. Oh I can't wait to go back to Hawaii!!!!

Inspirational Card

I saw a card on someone's blog with this Bible verse and felt inspired to make my own version. The butterflies on the front and the large one on the inside are cut with the Serenade cartridge and sprayed with Glimmermist Irridescent Gold, the small butterflies on the inside were made with an old punch I had, the white flower was left overs from a package I'd purchased a couple years ago at the Dollar store. Glad to be using up some of my old stash ... at least it's a beginning!

Birthday Card for My Future Son-In-Law

This is a birthday card for my future son-in-law, Mike. He and my daughter had just bought their first home, so he was very appeciative for the Home Depot Gift card. I had made a small envelope with a small cut-out window in which I slid the gift card in so the logo would show through.

Mother's Day Card for New Mother

This was my step-daughter's first Mother's Day s I just had to make her a card too! The inscription is from the Caligraphy cartridge and the scalloped flower on the insert is a Martha Stewart punch.

Another Mother's Day Card

My daughter saw the Mother's Day card I made for my mother-in-law and asked if I could make a similar one for her future mother-in-law. Needless to say I was thrilled she liked it so much! So she picked out the colors and paper she wanted and I went to work! The butterfiles are from the Serenade cartridge, the scrollwork is from Home Decor and the cut-out edge on the inside is a Martha Stewart punch.

Mother's Day Card

I've learned to make lots ad lots of flowers so thought I'd incorporate them into this Mother's Day card for my beloved mother-in-law in Southern California. I saw this card on someone else's blog and loved it (unfortunately I don't remember where, but I would gladly acknowedge them if I could!); so I attempted my own version using some of the flowers I made. She LOVED it! The butterflies, scrollwork and inside flowers and fern are from the Serenade cartridge. The inside edge is a Martha Stewart punch.

First Card I Ever Made

Although I have scrapbooked for many, many years, this is the first card I made a few months ago. I was learning the Cricut Expression my wonderful husband gave me for Christmas so thought I'd attempt a card for our receptionist's birthday.
